Museum of the Cathedral

The Museum has been prepared in 1992 in a building complex composed from one house duecentesca tower, one cinquecentesca church and a main body of trecentesca origin. It guards the art works that have made part of the furnishings of the cathedral, object of numerous transformations in the course of the centuries. The collection comprises lapidei statues and reperti, oreficerie and sacred vestments (piviali, pianete, tuniche, stoles), decreases and candlesticks, paintings, codes and putting to us them. Of relief a d'avorio dittico of YOU century and the rarest one corpus of five chorales of 1300. Much famous one is also the so-called one "Croce of the Pisani", realized dall'orafo piacentino Vincenzo di Michele.
