Lucca, a major Italian city from the austere charm and tradition rigorous point of reference for a peaceful life.
The appreciation experienced by many tourists in recent years have discovered our city life, our landscapes, our history and culture add to the value of a city that has nevertheless always well represented a certain style of life and got good results by estimating people "far away", simply return your mind to trade in textiles, used throughout Europe since 1200.
Lucca is today a reference of a different nature, which city sustainable and sensitive enough to get the role, along with other Italian cities, to represent Italy at the World Expo in Shanghai in China, while the name of one of his famous "children "helps to give luster to Argentina and the Balkans to his hometown.

Shanghai World Expo: Sustainable Cities in Italian style
The exhibition is hosted by Mario Occhiuto within the GFP - Urban Best Practices Area Chamber Expo. The city of Lucca has been chosen by the Ministry of Environment of the twelve cities (Bologna, Cosenza, Lucca, Padua, Parma, Pavia, Perugia, Salerno, Siena, Syracuse, Spoleto, Trieste, with their best action in terms of sustainability environmental) to bring the World Shanghai in China, in the Italian pavilion.
World Expo in Shanghai: Lucca city of silence
Video installation in the multimedia project "Sensitive City" sensitive city wanted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Italian pavilion at this Expo. Lucca is present along with five other cities (Trieste, Chioggia, Spoleto, Matera, Syracuse)
City of Nanjing - Nanjing Municipal Museum: "Puccini and Lucca in the world"
Exhibition dedicated to Giacomo Puccini and his relationship with Lucca, edited by Giacomo Puccini Foundation. The show, already housed at the Museum of Nanjing, Ningbo Museum and the Museum of Zhengjang, is now the subject of an exhibition tour by the City of Nanking in China. Until December 2010 are planned steps to the Museum of Changzhou of Jiangsu Province, the Nuse of Changsha in the Province of Human and Shanghai Museum.

Italian Cultural Institute in Buenos Aires: "Puccini and Lucca in the world"
Exhibition dedicated to the Maestro Puccini lying and its relation to Lucca, edited by Giacomo Puccini Foundation. The show, already housed in the foyer of the Colon Theatre in Buenos Aires on the occasion of its reopening to the public and the Teatro Coliseo, is the subject of a touring exhibition by the Italian Cultural Institute in Buenos Aires in collaboration with the Associazione Lucchesi and Tuscany around the world.

National Theatre of Opera and Dance in Tirana: "Puccini and Lucca in the world"
Exhibition dedicated to Giacomo Puccini and his relationship with Lucca, edited by Giacomo Puccini Foundation. Inauguration of the exhibition (September 24) the City of Lucca will also be represented by the extraordinary performance of opera Maria Luigia Borsi. The project is implemented in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Italian Institute of Culture in Tirana.
